FGnet is the European working group on face and gesture recognition funded by the E.C. IST program.
The objectives of FGnet are to of encourage development of a technology for face and gesture recognition.
The network carries out hree main activities:

1. Foresight workshops that describe possible future enabled by intelligent methods in face and gesture recognition.
   
2. Resource generation involving the specification and collection of data sets for technology development
   
3. Dissemination of the results at scientific conferences.
