Le Pain Biblique (1973)

The bread of salvation sits on a slab.
The slab is not of the earth.
Nearby is the fruit of knowledge.
We are on a shere of the earth which is made small by the curvature.

The fruit is red like the blood of sacrifiice. Knowledge requires sacrifice.
The layer of paint is very thin. The texture of the canvas shows through.
